King George V Memorial Playing Fields
King George's is a lovely park to walk round; children play on the splashpad and play area; local football teams practice on the fields; and it's a lovely place for a picnic with the family. Here are 3 photos I took a few weeks ago on the 8th of August.

Stubbers Green sunset
Phil noticed that the sky was looking very good at 7.50pm last night and knowing that sunset was probably going to happen in about half an hour we rushed out to find water! We first thought of the canal at the Pelsall junction but ended up at Stubbers Green in Aldridge. What a gorgeous sunset it was.

Walsall Arboretum Environment Day
A great display of chainsaw carving.
Shane Wiseman a very talented artist who specialises in animal portraits, here he is hard at work.
A musical interlude.
Some people just love to make a song and dance about everything. |
A shot of the the obligatory Land Train.
On the subject of transportation, how cool are these Tuk Tuks? Made by the same company that makes Vespas, pity the Mods never took to these, they'd have had more space to store their suits in the back of these.
Stalls were selling everything from food and drink to childrens toys and pretty flowers |
For those passionate about flowers, a passionflower. |
There was a stall dedicated to the preservation and conservation of our bees.
Let us out!! |
Lots of wood and wicker work on display, these old skills are brilliant, the passion that the people still have for the old crafts are amazing.
Further along the canal
Our last walk along the canal took us from Little Bloxwich to Yorks Bridge at The Fingerpost in Pelsall, this week we started at Yorks Bridge and went further. It was a lovely, quiet walk and I took a few photos along the way.
We "Make" it to High Bridge Bridge! Does anyone else think there is one too many Bridges in that name?? :)
A little further along I was fascinated to find Buddleia growing in the edge of the canal...
It was lovely to see a family of swans at the Slough Railway Bridge...
...and we had a lovely handful of blackberries each just along the overgrown path here...
A few more photos along the way...
