Walsall Arboretum Environment Day

Sorry this one is 24 hours late but as Sunday was the day of rest I decided to put my feet up and eat bacon rather than try to wrangle some words together to big up Walsall Arboretum who yet again put on a fantastic day out for families.

A great display of chainsaw carving.

Shane Wiseman a very talented artist who specialises in animal portraits, here he is hard at work.

A musical interlude.
Some people just love to make a song and dance about everything.

A shot of the the obligatory Land Train.

On the subject of transportation, how cool are these Tuk Tuks? Made by the same company that makes Vespas, pity the Mods never took to these, they'd have had more space to store their suits in the back of these.

Stalls were selling everything from food and drink to childrens toys and pretty flowers
For those passionate about flowers, a passionflower.

There was a stall dedicated to the preservation and conservation of our bees.
Let us out!!

Lots of wood and wicker work on display, these old skills are brilliant, the passion that the people still have for the old crafts are amazing.
